Visitor Quote

""Tregothnan was honoured to arrange a private view of the gardens at Tregothnan for the guests of The Vean" As a gardener it is fantastic to have The Vean drawing in plant experts from around the world to Caerhays. When guests are short of time in this great county of gardens, Tregothnan always suggests Caerhays"."
Jonathon Jones -Head Gardener Tregothnan

Via Coach

The narrow Cornish lanes around Caerhays mean that coach drivers need to plan their route approach carefully. The straightest and best route from the main A390 is marked in red on the map. For those coach parties who are also visiting Heligan (only 4 miles away) or who are in smaller coaches the blue route on the map is another alternative route.

The top and bottom lodge gates at Caerhays have low stone arches and it is impossible for coaches to enter the grounds. However, following alterations and improvements it is now possible for some coaches to use the emergency access gates to drive up to the Castle to discharge their passengers before returning to park at Porthluney Beach, which is the main car park for the gardens. By prior arrangement parking can also be arranged nearer the entrance for groups with elderly or disabled guests. Please contact Jaimie or Cheryl on 01872 501310 for more information about size and access if this would be of help.
